Nina’s digital twin: what Omroep Brabant learned from the AI avatar
Omroep Brabant’s AI avatar, called “AI-Nina”, is a digital clone of presenter Nina van den Broek. This avatar was introduced in May 2024 as part of an experimental project using artificial intelligence to present news clips on Omroep Brabant’s website and app.
During the session, attendees will be taken through Omroep Brabant’s experiment with deploying an AI avatar. Why did they do this, how did they do it and what did they learn from it? Not only did the broadcaster itself learn important lessons, it was also a valuable way to discover how the audience views the deployment of an AI avatar. It also provided a valuable exploration of making legal agreements with employees you want to “clone”.
